USCIS Receipt

Yesterday we received a receipt from the USCIS that they received our 1800 application with Violet's info.  Once we get the actual 1800 Provisional Approval letter from them (hopefully in 1-2 weeks) our paperwork can go to our adoption agency's staff in Guangzhou.

Then once we get our letter stating that the National Visa Center sent our immigration info. to the US Consulate in Guangzhou, the adoption agency's staff in Guangzhou can deliver their documents to the US Consulate. (Not sure how long that takes.)

After that, the US Consulate will issue an Article 5.  (That usually takes 2-2.5 weeks.)

The Article 5 is then delivered to Beijing, and the Chinese government then issues us a travel invitation. (That takes another 2-4 weeks.)

Ahhhh, more waiting for bureaucratic processes...
