To update you, last month the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs), now called CCCWA (China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption), matched children with families whose paperwork was logged in up to July 28, 2006. This was a huge surprise to the China adoption community!! They covered 14 days worth of paperwork! This is pretty much unheard of these days!
The reason why they got through so many days is that back in July of 2006 their offices were moving. So, it is our understanding that they didn't log in that much paperwork during those 2 weeks. However, it still brings us that much closer to our date - August 10th, 2006!
Now, we continue to wait. Usually the CCCWA sends out matches about every month. However, in the past few years fall and winter match dates get a bit less predictable. It may be closer to 6 weeks between batches instead of 4 weeks...
There are 13 days worth of paperwork between where they are now and when our paperwork was logged in. We think that means that we could (not definitely, but it is possible) get baby Violet's picture and info. in the set of matches after this next set. So perhaps maybe in early Dec.? We shall see!! It's really getting exciting now!
