The park is a huge park. We only saw a little bit of it – but it has an amusement park in it, paddle boats, a Japanese garden and other "stuff".
We also played indoors today (as usual). Violet likes to check herself out in the mirrors. She usually has pants on but she wrestles with us at changing times, so I let her go pants-less for a little while and took the opportunity to snap some shots of her cute leggies.
I also tried to get her to wear a little flower headband today. I managed to get some pictures of her but the headband came off rather quickly. We also tried some hats, but I couldn’t get any pics before she whipped them off. We’ll try again another time.
Overall, Violet seems to be settling in well now. We have figured out her verbal and non-verbal queues and her schedule pretty well. She seems to be enjoying herself quite a lot with us now. She is showing signs of independence which is cute, but is it also so nice when she puts her little arms up for us to pick her up. She likes going out and doing things – she looks all around and is very interested in other children in particular. She saw a bit of Barney on tv and loved the music. She always lunges at the computer and at the camera to try to grab and bang on them. She just seems to love technology just like her brothers!
Tomorrow we are going to visit Shamian Island.

WOW! So excited to hear about your fun day out and about. The unscheduled days are always the best aren't they. Even at HOME! Which you will soon be! I see that you are working hard on the accessory training! She's a cutie with that little bow! Can't wait to see her in a hat!!
so you're coming home with a new daughter and a new car?!
I just so cannot wait to meet Violet in person! She is just so darned ADORABLE!!!! Also - can't wait to have a ride in the new car!
The pic of Ken on the statue reminds me of the pics we have of him goofing around the "gate" to Semey. :)
